Seedlings for your garden:  herbs, flowers, and veg seedlings

I won't promise cheaper than the local home store, but I can promise varieties that you likely won't find there.  Check back frequently because I'll update new products or when I'm sold out.

I have the seedlings for sale listed below (by size, variety, and price).  Pickup in Sterling, CO or (with enough lead time) Brush, CO; Fort Morgan, CO; or Commerce City, CO

Spoon tomatoes:  tiny pea-sized tomatoes, indeterminate (grows continually til frost kills it) vine is a real grower!  I love these little guys because they're great in a salad (no cutting needed) and I take the PLENTIFUL extra tomatoes beyond what I use for salads and dry them for "tomato raisins" to use all winter.  Red plastic cup sized seedling.  $6

Listada De Gandia Eggplant:  about 7 inches long, purple/white stripes.  This one is brand new so I've not tasted it yet, but the seed supplier describes this Spanish varietal as having sweet, tender flesh.  Red plastic cup sized seedling.  $6.

Purple Coneflower:  a relative of black eyed susans, this one is a pollinator favorite.  I see everything from bumblebees to butterflies on these guys.  I have yet to see it, but apparently some of the smaller birds like finches like to eat the seeds in winter.  Perennial, it will come back yearly.  $6 for a 2 1/2" square pot.

Arizona Red Shades (blanket flower):  a wonderful addition to your xeric garden.  Needing almost no water, and even less attention, to fill out with beautiful red/yellow flowers this one will keep blooming as long as you keep cutting the flowers out (a great idea because left on its own it will spread everywhere).  Put this one in full, hot all-day sun in lean soil and it will do great.  Perennial, it will come back yearly.  $6 for a small 2 1/2" pot.

Sweet Meat Winter Squash:  Think pumpkin but better!  This heirloom squash variety produces fruit that is about 10 or so pounds (depending).  They're big, but don't let the size fool you:  they have very sweet, dense flesh.  This one's for cooking (makes great soup and pies), not for decorating!  Red plastic cup sized seedling $6

Butternut Squash:  nothing fancy, straight-up butter nut squash.  This is a great one to cut into chunks and roast (later turning to soup or perhaps just for eating).   Red plastic cup sized seedling $6

Blaze decorative seedling:  the previous two squashes were for eating, but this one's for fun and decorating.  Produces medium sized pumpkins with an orange and yellow streak pattern.   Red plastic cup sized seedling. $6

Sage plant division:  I divided my sage plant this Spring and have an extra division to sell.  This one's in a large pot and has yet to fill it out.  You can plant it out or leave it in the pot for a season.  Nothing fancy here, just great smell and flavor for your food.  Sages are also great for landscaping.  They'll fill out whatever space you give them, they are one of the first plants up in the Spring, and they're great on water.  Large plastic container, $10

Cilantro:  nothing fancy, just a cilantro plant.  Great for the usual cilantro stuff like salsa or Indian/East Asian food.  Two plants in a red plastic cup, ready to go in the ground and get to growing before it gets too hot and it bolts.  $6.

Salad burnett:  a delightful curiosity.  This is an herbaceous plant with leaves about the size of parsley.  The flavor is anything but parsley, however.  It has a wonderful lemon/cucumber flavor that matures into more of a walnut (?!) flavor when the plant matures and/or starts to flower.  Great addition to a salad that will leave those eating pleasantly surprised.  Perennial, planted right, it will come back year after year.  $5 for a small 2 1/2 pot
