
I put out my finch sock (what you see in the picture below, it's the "sock" with holes in it that's filled with nyjer thistle seed) since I was starting to see a lot of gold and house finches.
Finches love it. I managed to get quite a few photos of them on the sock. They fly over and cling to the side of it, picking out seeds through the holes.
Try to ignore the upside down banner at the top, to get the pics I had to put my camera upside down on a branch and in flipping the photos, the footer became an upside down header!

In addition to busy days at the finch sock, I got some pictures of grackles (a pretty bird--I love their iridescent greens and blues on top of the black feathers although their yellow eyes and selfish behavior don't recommend them for beauty), some starlings, and an early-bird robin enjoying a breakfast of dried worms.
